Types of submissions
Feedback: How are we doing? Do you know of links we should consider including? Write to info@newsandanalysis.org. Oh, before you drop a load of hateful slander in an email to us, as one person chose to do, remember that (hypothetically) we can "Google" you and probably learn your personal and work contact information and that you are a PhD environmentalist in Hawaii, plus your photo and more. So be professional or at least cordial.
Posts: Short articles found in the left column of our home page. They are brief pieces that either tend toward a traditional OpEd or articulate a brief analytic point.
Articles: Longer analytic pieces that are unlimited in length.
Guidelines
We are an organization that comprises non-partisan members. We are pleased that our articles have been criticized as being supportive of both Republican and Democratic ideologies. This dual criticism means that we are applying an even hand. Yet, we have a definite need for improvement. Our products could be more comprehensive, more elaborate, better sourced, and - of course - more logically constructed. We hope that contributions from our readers will begin to strengthen our content in the many areas we are weak. In other words, we only intend to improve the quality of our products and submissions will be reviewed with that intent in mind. Expect feedback.
Submit MS Word or text (.txt) documents as attachments to info@newsandanalysis.org.
Compensation
Do you see advertisements on our site? We cannot afford to pay for submissions.
Attribution
The writer may decide to remain anonymous to readers. Most of our articles are not attributed. However, writers must provide their name and a brief biography to NewsAndAnalysis.org. We will not share this information unless permitted by the writer.
Content
No content will be accepted that is protected unless the person submitting the content has legal control over the information and contractually permits NewsAndAnalysis.org to reprint it. We will not distribute submitted articles beyond this website.
Relevant topics can be found in our Resources by Topic page. Our articles and posts have included content covering business, politics, national security, terrorism, and others. Help us expand, but stay close to the wide boundaries we've set.
Write in English, and do not use profanity, libelous or otherwise inappropriate rhetoric.
Limit the use of graphics because we - unfortunately - do not use a format that supports their prolific use.
Length
Posts should remain less than 1000 words. Articles do not have a length limit, although format should promote readability and avoid meandering dissertations. Articles longer than 4000 words should be considered for multiple pages. For example, the main page could provide an executive summary and an organizational structure with hyperlinks to other pages containing more in-depth information. Let the reader choose the depth of information they desire.
Format
Provide hyperlinks if sources are accessible via the Internet. We will format the articles as seen on our site. We use Garamond font, single spacing, and add an extra space between paragraphs.
